ARC Boxset Review: Christmas Pets & Kisses

I read 4 stories from this boxset and loved them all! Sixteen inspiring and heartfelt stories about normal people trying to find and hold onto their happily-ever-after along with some quirky and yet adorable pets, this boxset is a must have! 🙂

Here are my reviews of  the four stories I have read:

Dog-Gone Christmas by Melinda Curtis

Marnie is a single mom living with her son Alex. Living peacefully, their life is given a new interesting twist with the arrival of a new neighbor, the very handsome lawman, Jonas along with his monstrous looking but very friendly St. Bernard dog, Snowflake.

I absolutely loved Snowflake who it seems can talk to humans! Acting as a problem solver/matchmaker, his antics had me giggling, laughing and wanting to adopt him. Marnie is stressed about the pending arrival of her in-laws and wants to create a good impression. A handsome distraction in the form of Jonas is not something she wants at present. Add an over active, mischievous and adorable kid to the mix and Melinda Curtis had me glued to my seat right till the end.

I love Melinda’s writing style and she shines here too. A heart melting story of second chances in love and life and Christmas miracles, the characters here are people that will stay with you long after you have finished reading the novella.

Expertly balancing emotions from sadness to happiness to heartwarming romance, I enjoyed reading this novella and recommend it to all lovers of happily-ever-afters.

Mavy’s Christmas Miracle by Sharon Coady

Mavy’s Christmas Miracle by Sharon Coady is a feel good Christmas Romance about second chances, forgiveness and a fresh start.

Christmas on Cougar Mountain by Nancy Radke

Christmas on Cougar Mountain by Nancy Radke is the first book by the author that I have read and I am so happy that I discovered her!

This is the story of Zoey who lives alone and teaches children with Dyslexia. A chance finding of a stray dog leads her to meet Kellen and his son, Reece who have just arrived to the town and to whom this stray belongs. This encounter soon leads to a heartwarming love between two people who are both wary and have their own reasons to not want to go the romance way. Will this festive season bring these two lovers together?

Unexpected Gift by Chantel Rhondeau

Unexpected Gift by Chantel Rhondeau is a story that not only warmed my heart but also reminded me of my favourite fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast. Part of Christmas Pets and Kisses anthology, this is the story of Cali who is new to New York and feels lonely. A lost cat leads her to Marcus Ritz, a rich recluse and they, soon, strike a friendship except that Marcus is only ready to talk on phone and never agrees to meet in person. As Christmas comes near, Cali’s hope of meeting Marcus face to face also intensifies, if only she can understand the reason why he refuses to come out of his apartment!

This is a collection of stories from some of my favourite authors who write lovely stories and I can’t recommend this set enough. I have grabbed my copy. Grab yours too at sale.
