Her
Brains

Claire
Cavendish is in search of a duke, but not for the usual reasons. The man she
seeks is a mathematician; the man she unwittingly finds is Lord Fox: dynamic,
athletic, and as bored by the equations Claire adores as she is by the social
whirl upon which he thrives. As attractive as Fox is, he’s of no use to Claire
. . . or is he?

Plus
His Brawn

Fox’s male
pride has been bruised ever since his fiancée jilted him. One way to recover:
win a bet that he can transform Lady Claire, Society’s roughest diamond, into
its most prized jewel. But Claire has other ideas—shockingly steamy ones. . .

Equals
A Study In Seduction

By Claire’s
calculations, Fox is the perfect man to satisfy her sensual curiosity. In Fox’s
estimation, Claire is the perfect woman to prove his mastery of the ton. But
the one thing neither of them counted on is love . . .

ARC Book Review:

Lady Claire Is All That by Maya Rodale is the third book in Keeping Up With The Cavendishes series and while part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. Having read the previous two books, I was looking forward to reading Claire’s story who is the eldest of the Cavendish siblings from America. She is a bluestocking, more interested in solving complex maths problems than worrying about finding a suitable match. So when the infamous rake Lord Fox starts showering his attention on her, it makes for an entertaining and bumpy adventure towards a happily-ever-after.

All the three books in this series take place in the same timeline but still it is testimony to the author’s writing prowess that she makes each story feel complete in itself. I had been intrigued by Claire right from the first book, Lady Bridget’s Diary with her mother’s role towards her siblings, her quiet strength in supporting and looking out for them and her tendency to try to not bring any attention towards herself that when I got a chance to read an ARC, I jumped right in and thoroughly enjoyed the book.

The writing is vivid and engaging and I could visualize each scenario with ease in my mind. The characters felt so familiar and I loved meeting them again and getting another insight into them from a different perspective.

Claire and Fox are poles apart but I loved how they traversed their love journey to a HEA. Sometimes Claire felt arrogant but then it was so entertaining watching her get a taste of her own medicine. Both characters are seemingly arrogant and feel they are superior to others because of their prowess in their own fields but Maya expertly teaches them humility and teaches the readers also a lesson in acceptance.

The romance is sassy, daring, humourous and all out fun. A book that forced me to finish it in one sitting, I enjoyed reading it and give Lady Claire Is All That by Maya Rodale 4.5 stars out of 5. Recommended to all regency romance lovers above the age of eighteen, I look forward to meeting the Cavendishes again soon!

I received an ARC from the publishers and tour organizers via edelweiss and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
