April is here and with it the #AtoZChallenge is also here. This is my second time participating in this cool challenge where bloggers from around the world come together to participate in this challenge of 26 posts each corresponding to an alphabet. The themes can be different for each blogger but the motivation and cheer of joining in the A to Z challenge is the same!

This April I will be sharing with you my Top 26 Favourite Books that influenced my life in some way or the other. These are books that I strongly recommend and why I do that will be revealed as the books are revealed.

My pick for the letter ‘B’ is Bound by Hatred by M.V. Kasi. I absolutely adored this gritty, heart wrenchingly emotional and soul shatteringly romantic story that starred protagonists who initially hated each other with a vengeance but then as they come closer, the layers of misunderstandings are brought to light and age-old beliefs are challenged.

“sometimes, those who pretend they are cold-hearted and emotionless… are the ones who are protecting the biggest hearts.”

This book was the first “enemies-to-lovers” book that I read and while I have always been wary of such books, I was totally bowled over by this one. Beautifully narrated, expertly developed characters and a story that had my heart breaking, Bound by Hatred by MV Kasi is one of my favourite books of 2018 as well as one that changed my perception of the “enemies-to-lovers” theme of books.

It also told me never to let the first impressions about people to be my last impressions. Humans are complex beings and no one reveals himself or herself in the first meeting. Like Dev and Sabitha from Bound by Hatred who are so much more than what they appeared like at first glance.

“When I look at you, I don’t just see your face. I see my entire future. I see our marriage. I see our children. I see us fighting. I see us making up. I see us growing old together. In my version of the future, we are quite lucky. Because I even see us dying together. I see my forever in you.”
