#AtoZChallenge: G for GAMRAJ and GRAND MASTER ROBO

This is my first time participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge and I am so excited!
My blog posts all through April will follow the theme: “My favourite Indian comics/cartoon characters.”
For letter G, how could I not include two of my loved Indian comics characters?

1) Gamraj (meaning Tragedy king) is the son of Yamraj (the Lord of Death). He resides on earth and helps people. Emotional, caring and often prone to accidents even when he wants to do good, Gamraj had me laughing and thoroughly enjoying his antics. He doesnt have any magical powers but is often aided by a magical buffalo, Yamunda , given to him by his foster father, Yamraj. Astride his magical buffalo who also talked to him, he was funny, inspiring and thoroughly entertaining!

Published by Raj Comics, he appeared in 20 issues and is a character that always manages to lighten my mood and leave me with a goofy smile. 🙂

2) Grand Master Robo is a super villain and arch enemy of Super Commando Dhruv. Published by Raj Comics and created by Anupam Sinha, Grand Master Robo was once a simple gangster who survived a gang war but was fatally injured. He was revived as a Cyborg and eventually, became the grand boss of an international terrorist network.

Often seen clashing wits against Super Commando Dhruv, he has enhanced physical abilities, is a brilliant scientist specializing in Robotics and has a metallic eye through which he shoots a powerful laser beam.

I loved the action, suspense and heart throbbing adventure in his comics where one never knew what would happen next. A definite must read, Grand Master Robo has scared and awed comics lovers all over the country ever since his inception! 🙂
