So today I have with me for virtual coffee, Abhimanyu Rajarajan, the author of When Shall We Meet Again?

Q1.
Tell us something about yourself.
I was born in a small village near the temple
town Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu, India. As my
family shifted to Chennai, I had my 12 years of schooling there. The
metropolitan city had its own
urban flavour and the unique speed and thrill of
Chennai has had a cascading influence on me. I went on to do my Engineering and
Management but was more fascinated in understanding what true life is all
about. I presently work for a Fortune 500 Public Sector Company but my heart
lies in writing.

When Shall We Meet Again? is about how easy it is to lose one’s life in today myriad
world (especially in the IT corporate world) and how to look to your inner
self, find what you want and cherish life and love.

What inspired you to write this book?

I
have too many friends in the IT world. And having seen them losing their
happiness, I thought how it would be, had there been a Swamiji, like Aathmananda,
to change the course of their lives.

I’ve
written the novel When Shall We Meet Again?, a collection of short stories which
is yet to be published and a kids’ nonfiction idioms book. I am currently
writing a mythological thriller. I have always let the plot decide my writing
style. Sometimes even the mood of the characters in a particular scene would
entice a specific writing style.

get the connection between the title and the novel. The story is about two
lovers meeting after five years and how it affects their lives. The story’s
core lies in the idea that life throws these chance meetings at us. So, I feel
the title When Shall We Meet Again? is apt for the novel. I later on came to
know that it is the opening line of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. I am honored.

message is “life keeps moving ! You have to move with it! Do not lose yourself
by career or romance traps and get stuck. Open your eyes to what life has to offer”. In the novel, the message is too subtle, I guess.

Q7. What was your technique when planning your plot and characters?
I
build the characters, their background and their persona first. Then, the I
throw different situations and the characters start reacting by themselves and
story moves on.

I
am able to reach people whom I would have otherwise not reached up to. I have
earned a lot of special friends who start as my readers and go on to become my
best friends.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest
book?

felt that the portions involving Narayan had a lot of erotica to reflect the
pervert nature of the character. I would like to tame down that a bit.

very difficult to distribute it in the Indian market. Luckily, the book is now
available at all leading online stores like infibeam,

already a best seller in Amazon and is ranked No.1 among Asian American books

quite intimate in bed just a few days back. And Prem is a flirt trying to woo
Aarthi. Aarthi and Naren are caught up in a quagmire of past against present.
And just to spice things up, an old pervert Narayan is part of the group and he
looks for an opportunity to seduce the girls. Narayan hires a goon to make his
ends meet who is no stranger to rape and murder. Amid high drama, the Swamiji
helps each individual find his or her own destiny ……but he too has some dark
secrets to hide…..or Does he?
Passion, Love, Philosophy, Perversion, Thrill,
