Aaron Chase is desperate to give his young daughter a perfect holiday, and Pediatric Nurse Christy Cooper agrees to help him. Then the impish eight-year-old talks the adults into a make-believe wedding. Can the magic of Christmas transform the pretend vows into true love?
An Almost Perfect Christmas has such a beautiful cover! This was the first thing that attracted me to this book and then when I read the blurb, I just knew I had to read it. 🙂
Donna is a talented author and I have enjoyed reading her books in the past but it is safe to say that I loved this book the most. A sweet yet heart rending story of miracles, happiness, holiday cheer and forgiveness, I loved reading about Christy, Aaron and Izzie.
The plot is simple but so beautifully executed. The whole idea of making the Christmas special for Aaron’s dying daughter made me teary yet hopeful of a miracle. Aaron and Christy’s efforts to give Izzie her wished for special day is sweetly and very admirably described. I could visualize the whole decorating, making special food and the overall festive environment.
The story shows us the good things in life and teaches the importance of looking at the happy moments over the sad ones. Although I cried a lot during the book but I also laughed, rejoiced and felt included in the perfect Christmas celebrations at the Chase house. 🙂
All in all, I simply loved reading the book and recommend it to everyone for some feel good reading. 4 out of 5 to An Almost Perfect Christmas.
I received the book from the author and the tour organizers and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
