This was my first book by Olivia Starke and I am so happy to say that she completely engrossed me in her story! 🙂
The cover of the book and the blurb complement each other and I was instantly pulled towards The Baby Contract
after reading the blurb.
The reader may feel like the plot is quite common after reading the blurb but once he starts reading, the story totally surprises the reader with its fresh twists and turns.
I loved Olivia’s writing style and her fresh approach to the overused Billionaire Bachelor and poor heroine routine. Olivia keeps the interest alive and also builds up the chemistry between Liam and Abby with ease. The suspense of what will come next keeps the reader invested in the book and diligently turning pages. I could not keep the book down until I had finished reading the entire thing! 🙂
The characterization is expertly done. Liam is a hard and ruthless businessman who is solely focused on the expansion and success of his company. He has no time to date and definitely none for serious relationships. Abby is his opposite. She is kind, caring and strong. Having suffered a trauma in the past, she is determined to make a life for herself. She loves her family and is willing to do anything to keep them happy, even if it means that she has to sign a baby contract with the ruthless Liam Whitmore! The other characters like Abby’s brother Mark, Liam’s friend and secretary Charity,his mother Caroline, his cousin Spencer, the business rival Richard and Abby’s father all are beautifully sketched and I was able to connect with each and every character in the story. They are real life people with normal routines and problems.
The love scenes between Liam and Abby are intense and high on the hotness scale. Their chemistry is scorching hot and even when they are not intimate, I could feel the heat of their attraction towards each other. Their journey from lust to love is tested in the fire of difficulties and against some very determined enemies who are willing to go to any lengths to prevent these two love birds from having their happily-ever-after.
The story variates its pace fluidly as per the demands of the story and thus, keeps the reader totally invested in all the action.
A story that will touch your heart and also make it beat faster while you feel the intensity of the first love between the hero and the heroine, this is a book that entertains and is worth every penny spent!
Full 5 on 5 stars to The Baby Contract from me and a strong recommendation that you read it. A must read for all romance lovers. Olivia Starke is a talented author and has now made it to my watch-out-for-this-author list. 🙂

Olivia Starke calls the Ozarks home. One of the most beautiful areas in the country, she loves hiking trails with her dogs, kayaking on the numerous waterways, and enjoying southern Missouri’s fresh air and sunshine.
She’s also ‘Mom’ to four dogs, a growing number of kitties that show up at her door, and four VERY spoiled horses that do little to earn their keep. Not that she’d ever hold that against them.
She’s a HUGE fangirl of Doctor Who and to a lesser extent Supernatural, and has a pretty interesting love triangle (or square?) going on in her head between the Doctor and the Winchesters.
