Book Review:
Caitlyn Winters is dedicated towards her goal of becoming a Doctor and then touring the poorer countries so she can help the underprivileged but her life changes right from the moment she catches the bridal bouquet!
She suddenly finds that she is pregnant and her hopes of helping those people in Africa starts looking like a faraway dream. Add her boisterous family that still doesn’t know of her affair with the resident Doctor, Noah, let alone the unplanned pregnancy, her life, as she knows it, is changed forever.
What will Caitlyn do?
Will she succumb to Noah’s plans of getting married and settling?
Will she give up her dream of serving the poor in some faraway country?

I love Sherryl Wood’s books and picked up this book because of three reasons. First, it was a Sherryl Wood novel. Second, the cover is just so pretty and third, I just loved the blurb apart from the catchy feel-good, Christmassy title.

The first thing I loved right from the start was Noah. He is mature, so understanding and deeply in love with Caitlyn. His patience and his perseverance when trying to make Caitlyn realize that their love and the baby is not a mistake and definitely not a hurdle in her path towards her goal. He is just so sweet and definitely a dream man for every woman.

Cait, on the other hand, had me feeling sympathetic towards her in the beginning when she first learned of her unexpected pregnancy but her later actions had me wanting to shake her until she got her senses back. Who pushes away a caring man and almost overworks themselves when they know that they are pregnant? She was just plain stupid in the later part of the book.

Her family is a mix bag and I loved each one of them with their boisterous, interfering but very caring natures. Caitlyn’s sister intrigued me and I would love to read her story.

Sherryl’s writing is her usual charming self but I felt the execution could have been better. Caityln somewhat failed in getting across her reasons of concern to the readers while Noah gained all our sympathy.

Despite being part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

All in all, The Christmas Bouquet is an entertaining read and makes us feel the love of a very persistent and completely in love man and the selfless love of one’s family. 3.5 out of 5 to it and recommended to all romance lovers.

I received the book from NetGalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
