#BookReview–> How I Exiled My Inner Bitch by Miv Evans

OK. I have to be honest here. When I received this book from the author for a R&R, I was a bit hesitant about reading it. Firstly, because of the title which looked a bit inappropriate and so not my style. But the blurb intrigued me. Secondly, because the book would be the first of its kind I would read so I was not sure if I could rate it properly. Although not sure if I would like the book, I decided to give it a try and once I started reading it, I was hooked. 🙂

How I Exiled My Inner Bitchis the story of Dionne who is 36 now but still haunted
by an imaginary twin she created to get even with her sisters who always picked on her and a mother who neglected her. Lionne, the imaginary twin is the complete opposite in nature to the sweet self of Dionne and restricts her from coming close to people and from forming long term relationships. Desperate to free herself from Lionne, Dionne is ready to do anything but alas, all efforts fail and she is again left alone with a complaining Lionne.

Greg is a guy afflicted with his own share of quirks and so when they meet, theirs is a safe relationship with shallow love. The only problem with this situation is the presence of Greg’s two teenage daughters who hate Dionne and are hell bent on making her life miserable.

Can she free herself from Lionne?
Is Greg the right man for Dionne?
Can they let go of their quirks and have a life together? Or will Greg’s daughters finally succeed in driving this little solace for Dionne also to the ground?

I was new to the whole dystopian family concept and so everything was a novelty for me. The story is medium paced with characters developed expertly to suit their roles. The book engaged me from the start and had me turning pages to see what happened next.

A very admirable work from Miv and very entertaining. I give it a 4 out of 5. If you are in search of a different kind of an entertainer then How I Exiled My Inner Bitchis the book for you. 🙂

The above verdict is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced. I received a copy of the book from the author, Miv Evans and I am very thankful to her.

  1. Great !!!! Its very difficult to review such work which you are not fit for, but its very challenging too and to be honest too for all this. The True fact is all of us have or atleast think that we are blessed with what we are and with another personality which reside in our inner self. Challenges are to handle our original personality. I have not read the book, so not able to comment on this, but I congratulate Miv for such a superb book written by her and NIkita for reviewing it with all her honesty. All the best !!!
