CINDERELLA BRIDE by Monica McLean was one of the first romances that I read when I ventured in this genre. This is the story of a woman trying to save the children in a crime infested area of a city while also hiding her identity and the story of a man desperately wanting children. Their’s is a marriage of convenience but wait till a murder is witnessed by one of her students that puts her and the child in danger and then her frightening past is back to haunt her!I absolutely loved the mystery, romance and the heartfelt emotions in this book and can re-read it any number of times. 🙂

The Nanny’s Secret by Monica McLean is again by this author that I totally adore but unfortunately she wrote only 3 books and not many people know about her work. :(This story is about a woman who takes shelter in a house but who is unable to remember anything about her. The only thing she knows is that the little boy in the house invokes strong maternal feelings in her. Who is she and why did she specifically locate this house where she knows no one? This story is again one that is my absolute favourite. I enjoyed the mystery that soon became apparent but it was the emotional play and the characters that had me transfixed and engrossed. I can reread it any number of times just for the characters and their heartfelt emotions. 🙂
