When I opened my mail today, I was surprised to see that Ericka Greer of Highway- Y.A. had nominated me for the Liebster Award.

Since I am new to blogging so I was unaware of this award and did some research. This is an award that recognizes and supports new bloggers. It has German origins – the word “liebster” has several definitions: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, welcome, sweetheart and boyfriend (really?) 😉
It’s a great way for fellow bloggers to pat each other on the back, meet new bloggers and publicize their site to the general public.

Some random facts about me:
- I can read non stop and have tested this ability for upto 20 hours. 🙂
- I love to hoard books and irrespective of the current task at hand, can be found searching for book stores every time I go to the market.
- You can find books stocked everywhere in my room ranging from shelves to security safes!
- If I get interested in something I am unable to concentrate on anything else and you can find me either non communicative or only giving grunts. 🙂
- My father is my role model and I often wish I had inherited a bit more of his good qualities.
- I like to have an opinion on everything and can often be found reading anything I can find my hands on!
- I wish to go to Frankfurt and Switzerland someday because Heidi was from there and I totally loved her and want to feel the fresh air and beauty that I read about and saw in the cartoon!
- I laugh very loudly and have been trying to control my guffaws from I don’t know how long!
- I was never sure what I wanted to become when I grew up and switched from social worker to detective to archaeologist to news reporter to chef to even being a witch! 😀
- I love visiting libraries best and the kind of thrill I feel there is unlike any other place. 🙂

Congrats Nikita and thank you for the nomination. I've followed you via twitter and bloglovin; :). I wish I had your concentration – I can't read 20 hours straight, in Read-a-thons I don't make it more than 4 hours at a stretch. We have the same book hoarding tendencies though lol.
