I am not very good at baring my heart and although I have had a crush on this very cute boy but have hadn’t had the guts to propose to him yet. We have been friends for so long that I often wonder if he will ever see me as anything other than a friend which is a depressing thought and so this Valentine’s Day, I am finally going to propose to him and know his feelings for me. Ideas have been swirling in my head for quite sometime now, so when I heard about Indiblogger and Closeup’s prompt called “Cupid Games”, I suddenly had a new motivation to plan my perfect proposal!
He is a foodie and I have often heard him mention his wish of dining at Parikrama The Revolving restaurant. So what better place than the Parikrama. I can visualize the settings with the restaurant revolving on its axis and giving a 360 degree view of the city and me down on one knee before him, proposing. It is going to be unconventional and I can imagine the surprise on his handsome face.
It is believed that only men propose bending before their women but I am going to break the norms and propose to my man while bent down on one knee before him. I don’t know what I will say, maybe bare my heart in whatever words that flow from my mouth but they will be right from my heart.
I have already booked a window facing table at Parikrama and also arranged for our table to be decorated with white roses which are his favourite, a twin swan shaped candle (again his favourite) and finally, almond chocolates to further show him how much I love him. I have also compiled a playlist with some of my favourite songs that I hope will convey to him what my words fail to do.
The songs in my playlist will be
- Enrique’s song, “I finally found you”
- The Wanted’s song, “Glad you came”
- Rihanna’s “We found love”
- “It’s Gonna be Love” from A Walk to Remember
- “One Love”
- “U make me wanna”
- “Tere chehre se nazar”
- “Pehla nasha”
- “Tujhe dekha to ye jana”
- Avril Lavigne’s “I Love You”
So while the candle burns and the roses spread their fragrance and my playlist with some of may favourite songs play, I am going to go down on one knee and say “I Love You” to the one boy who has made my heart flutter and skip a beat for so long.
Wish me all the best because this Valentine’s Day, I am going to convince him of my love!
“In this crazy world of choices I’ve only got a few
Either you’re coming with me, or I’m coming with you
Cause I finally found you, I finally found you…”
