My Love for Reading Mysteries
Hey Everyone,
My name is Nikita and I am the Njkinny of the blog! 🙂
I love to read and cant remember the first time I realized this. Although I love reading various types of books but my favorite genre is the Mystery genre. I absolutely adore mysteries especially if they are the Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple type. I started with Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, Secret Seven and Five Find Outers and went to the Three Investigators, The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and then after reading various other mysteries, I finally progressed to Holmes, Poirot, Miss Marple, Father Brown and Tommy and Tuppence! 🙂
I still remember the first time I picked up a Sherlock Holmes mystery and the utter awe I felt after reading the book. Before reading these mysteries by authors like Enid Blyton, G.K. Chesterton, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Alfred Hitchcock etc. I didnt know that crimes could be this complex and out-of -the-box. In my mind it was always very straightforward. A crime was committed then the police came and after some minor puzzling, caught the criminals. Ha! simple! 🙂
In 2013 to give voice to my interest and to connect with new people I started this blog where I was free to talk about any and every book I liked and read. Thanks to blogging I met some great authors, readers and bloggers. We became great friends and I hope I remain lucky in meeting and befriending more like minded people in the future! 🙂
International Author’s Day is a great initiative by DDS from http://www.b00kr3vi3ws.in/ and I am so excited to be part of it. A thank you to all the authors who toil and give the readers such great books. Keep up the good work and keep sending me books! 🙂
