“What are you reading?” Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted on Njkinny’s Blog where spotlights the books I am currently reading and recommend.
What are you reading? Wednesday: The Adventures of Shrilok Homeless by Pika Nani and The Ultimate Adventures of Shrilok Homeless by Pika Nani
This week I am reading The Adventures of Shrilok Homeless by Pika Nani and The Ultimate Adventures of Shrilok Homeless Volume 2 by Pika Nani, published by Penguin Random House, that are about a teenage tea seller turned detective, Shrilok who solves mysteries along with his sidekick and friend, Rohan Doctor.
Aimed for children 10 years and above, these are books that will be enjoyed by everyone. I absolutely adore the covers of these books and am loving the mysteries that are intelligent and engagingly narrated that they keep me occupied until I finish each case!
Njkinny recommends these books to kids and adults alike who love mysteries and are a big fan of Sherlock Holmes like me.
From the blurb:
“Meet Mumbai’s greatest teen detective!
A chaiwala by day and a super sleuth by night, Shrilok is a champion at deduction, disguises and drama. Along with Rohan Doctor, his partner in crime, he solves thrilling cases…”

Looks like great books. I am currently not reading anything sadly, I need to thought.
I am a hopeless bookaholic and am never without a book or two with me. Hope you get to read something interesting soon Wren. 🙂
A very interesting book that kids would love. My two sons had to be "forced" to read, because all they wanted to do was outdoor play when they were young. Thankfully, they picked up the habit of reading and I am so relieved. I will recommend this book to my sister so she can get it for her son.
Thanks Anne…Playing is important and reading too. I am glad your sons are doing both. 🙂
these sound like book that my 9 year old daughter would love to read. She is a big book worm!
I hope she likes Shrilok Homeless, Natasha. 🙂
I recently check out Stephen King's The Institute at the library. I'm also looking forward to reading Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky.
I havent read Imaginary Friend and will add it to my TBR. The title is intriguing. Have read The Institute though. Waiting your review on this one and then we will discuss all the twists and turns. Lol
Always on the look out for great, intelligent and engaging books to add to our reading library and for story time. Will keep an eye out for these ones.

I wish I had more time to read because I find it so relaxing.I usually go for science and history books but I also love reading poems.
sounds exciting. I am reading the 'First love' by G. Riley. I love it so far!
Sounds like an interesting takeoff from the original Sherlock Holmes novels. They look like they would be so for fun kids and teens alike.
